K Madhavan has concluded his 15-year journey at Disney Star, stepping down from his role as country manager and president, according to media reports.
During his tenure, Madhavan was instrumental in driving strategy and overseeing the company’s operations across key segments, including general entertainment, sports, direct-to-consumer services, and studios.
He joined Star India in 2009 as the head of its southern operations and was pivotal in expanding the company's regional entertainment portfolio.
Prior to this, Madhavan served as the managing director and CEO of Asianet from 2000 to 2008.
Madhavan's departure comes alongside another key exit from Disney Star, as Sajith Sivanandan, head, Disney+ Hotstar India, has also stepped down.
These changes come at a pivotal moment, as the company is currently in the process of merging with Viacom18.
More exits are expected across levels.
