MRF Tyres has appointed Shubman Gill as brand ambassador and secured his bat sponsorship.

Gill used the MRF powered bat for the first time during the ICC Champions Trophy semi-final clash against Australia.

The opening batsman was the brand ambassador for MRF's rival Ceat, and used that bat as recently as 2 March, in the previous game India played in the tournament against New Zealand.

MRF made the announcement through social media.

Along with Virat Kohli who is currently the face of the brand in India, MRF has also partnered with former greats including Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Steve Waugh and Brian Lara.
