Sunil Kataria steps down as MD, Raymond Lifestyle, joins Godrej Agrovet

He has been appointed chief executive officer and managing director of the agribusiness company, effective 5 May 2025.

Sunil Kataria has tendered his resignation from the position of managing director and chief executive officer of Raymond Lifestyle, the company has announced. The board has accepted his resignation, tendered 'to pursue another career opportunity,' effective 31 March 2025, according to documents filed by the company with BSE.

Until a successor is appointed, the company’s senior management team, led by executive chairman Gautam Hari Singhania, will oversee business operations, stated the company.

Kataria has been appointed as the chief executive officer and managing director-designate of Godrej Agrovet from 5 May 2025. He will assume the role of CEO and managing director for a five-year term, from 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2030, subject to shareholder approval, according to the agribusiness company's filings.

Kataria joined Raymond Lifestyle in March 2022 as chief executive officer – of India & International, and went on to assume the role of managing director in December 2024.

He previously had a 11-year stint as CEO of India & SAARC at Godrej Consumer Products. 

Kataria also holds a leadership role as chairman of the Indian Society of Advertisers (ISA).
