Cannes Lions 2026: India opens shortlist tally

Leo and Ogilvy lead the tally with two each, as India receives eight shortlists across seven categories.

India's shortlist tally for the 2026 edition of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has opened. The organisers announced shortlists across seven categories - India got a total of eight shortlists. 

Audio and Radio
Leo got India's only shortlist for Sting's 'The Unofficial Sound of F1'.

Creative Brand
Leo's 'From a Sanitary Pad to a Basic Right' for Whisper got India's only shortlist. 

Health and Wellness
India got four shortlists in the category. 

Ogilvy got two - one each for 'Renu vs The City' (St. Jude India Childcare Centres) and 'Ek Tara Project' (Titan Eye+ Eyewear).

Brand David got one for Colgate's 'Indianis Dentris' as did McCann for Johnson's Baby's 'Project Golden Minute'.

Pharma
Humour Me got India's only shortlist in this category. It was for Tata 1MG's 'Sawaal Uthao'.

Print and Publishing
VML's 'The Kolhapuri' for Kalapuri was the only Indian shortlist in this category. 

There were no Indian shortlists in the Creative B2B and Outdoor categories.
