Zlade has rolled out a campaign, 'the game: will he score?', to underscore the importance of body grooming and manscaping in one's personal life.
The film, conceptualised in-house, opens in a high-tension cricket match setting where the batsman needs to score a boundary to win the game. The player swings his bat to hit the next ball for a four, however there is a twist in the tale. The ball comes to a screeching halt before crossing the boundary. As the camera zooms in on the 'hairy ball', a voiceover goes, "Struggling to score with hairy balls?". The double-entendred cheeky question showcases the utility of the product to ensure 'smooth balls' for 'scoring' effortlessly.
What we think about it: Amid the ongoing IPL hysteria, the campaign revolving around cricket grabs viewer interest with its cricket match analogy, while effectively delivering the message of manscaping and intimate hygiene in a tongue-in-cheek manner.
Nikhil Narayanan, head of creative strategy, Zlade stated, "As every fan knows, cricket is an unpredictable game. But this film throws in a surprise that will catch even the most seasoned cricket lover off guard."
