Dream11 has rolled out a campaign, 'Champions Ka Game' (the game of champions), ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy.
Conceptualised by Tilt Brand Solutions and Zero Fifty, the campaign consists of two ad films.
The first film (above) rallies cricket fans to support Team India as they chase victory once again. In a witty setup, Kapoor interviews Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and KL Rahul only to find them hilariously unable to recall their recent T20 World Cup 2024 win. As a cook, massage therapist, and doctor attempt to jog their memory, Virat Kohli steps in with a powerful reminder: "Har ek match, pehle match jaisa khelna padega, humein yeh bhoolna padega ke hum champion the" (Every match, we have to play like the first match, we have to forget that we were champions). The message is clear—true champions focus on the next challenge, not past triumphs.
The second film features cricketing legend Kapil Dev. A fan excitedly approaches to take a photo with Dev, Suryakumar Yadav, Sharma, and Pandya, calling them World Cup champions. However, Pandya urges him to take a solo picture with "Dev Sir," while Yadav questions, "When did we win it?" This sparks the same dilemma as the previous film, reinforcing the message that one cannot dwell on past glory if they aspire to win again.
What we think about it: With its humorous twist, the film taps into nostalgia as cricket stars hilariously forget their last win. Witty exchanges and a star-studded cast drive home the message that every game is a new challenge. A fun, engaging rallying cry for Team India ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025.
