BMW has rolled out its global film ahead of Christmas. 

The film features a young boy and his parents. The trio get out of a BMW on a busy shopping street and the young boy picks up a greeting card for his grandmother that reads 'Best Grandma Ever' and shows her driving a car. Then, as his parents look to buy something for his grandmother, he keeps rejecting their choices. He then picks out a gift of his choice and delivers it to his grandmother along the card he picked up. The film which was following the emotional route, suddenly has a twist as it's revealed the gift was a car seat - not for his grandmother, but himself so that he can go for a drive with her in her old BMW, while sitting on the passenger seat. The other children on the street look on in envy as he drives alongside his grandmother as the film signs off with the message 'Joy Is A Precious Gift'.

What we think about it: While the caption for the film reads 'the joy in sharing gifts is what makes this time so magical', for us it's such films that make advertising magical.

The film release on 8 December.
