IPL, Indian general election make it to top 10 most-viewed articles globally on Wikipedia

The IPL was the most-viewed sports article ahead of the Paris Olympics and UEFA Euro 2024.

Wikipedia has rolled out its report of the most-viewed articles in 2024 on the website.

According to the report, 2.4 billion hours (nearly 2,75,000 years) were spent by users on the website. 

The most-read article on the site was 'deaths in 2024', followed by Kamala Harris and 2024 United States Presidential Elections.

Sixth on the overall list, and first on the sports list was the 'Indian Premier League'. The 2024 Indian General Elections was tenth on the list. Other than that, Telugu-language epic science-fiction action film, Kalki 2898 AD, was ranked 18th on the list.
