Nike and Puma, the sponsors of Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), rolled out celebratory messages for the teams that retained the UEFA Champions League and the Indian Premier League over the weekend.
Nike's film is devoid of its stars (for most part), and states 'It Was Never Going To Be Just One'. It reveals that when a whole city unites, there is only one ending, referring to the win.
Puma's celebratory post took the other route as it featured star Virat Kohli and the captain Rajat Patidar hoisting giant golden stars, with Jacob Bethell also part of the post. Puma also released a 'Champions' T-shirt with the message 'One Felt Nice, We Did It Twice'.
With the FIFA World Cup right around the corner and the narrative of teams retaining trophies, its perhaps time for Adidas joining the celebrations and keeping their celebratory film ready for Argentina?
