Advertising volumes on television increased by 7% during the first five games of the 2025 season of the IPL according to a TAM Sports report.
This year, post the merger between Jio and Star, the IPL is shown across 28 channels compared to the 24 channels during last year's tournament.
In terms of categories, there are 12% more on television this year, with 29% more brands. Mouth fresheners lead the categories with e-com (gaming) and biscuits completing the top three.
