India’s national broadcaster, Prasar Bharati, has announced that it has joined hands with Hockey India to become the official broadcast partner of Hockey India League (HIL) 2024-25.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in a ceremony between Shri Abhishek Agarwal, deputy director general sports, Prasar Bharati, and Shri Bhola Nath Singh, secretary general, Hockey India
The signing ceremony was graced by Shri Navneet Sehgal, chairman, Prasar Bharati; Shri Gaurav Dwivedi, CEO, Prasar Bharati; Shri Ashok Tanden, member of the Prasar Bharati Board; and Shri Sekar J Manoharan, Hockey India Treasurer.
The league will be broadcasted live across the nation through Doordarshan and Prasar Bharati’s new OTT platform, Waves.
In addition to the live match broadcasts, the content will be multilingual and include exclusive behind-the-scenes coverage, offering fans a more engaging experience.
