In an effort to streamline emergency healthcare, Blinkit has rolled out ambulance services on its platform. Available under 10 minutes, the ambulance services started in Gurugram on 2 January 2025, with five ambulances on the road.
The company's founder, Albinder Dhindsa took to Linkedin to share the announcement.
People can now book a Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance through the Blinkit app.
Dhindsa stated that they are carefully scaling the service up and the aim is to expand the same to all major cities over the next two years.
After seven years of operations as an online grocery delivery service as Grofers, it introduced express grocery delivery across India in July 2021. Later that year, Grofers was rebranded as Blinkit. In 2022, Zomato acquired Blinkit.
