Elephant Design has announced the appointment of Mayuri Nikumbh as chief design officer.

In her new role, she will lead the firm’s creative offerings across verticals, deepening client engagements, and scaling Elephant’s presence across India and global markets.

Nikumbh moves from Conran Design Group, after a stint of five years, where she was head - design.

This is her second stint with Elephant Design. She was previously associated with the organisation for nearly 13 years, from 2008 to 2021, most recently serving as design director – communication design.

Ashwini Deshpande, co-founder and director, Elephant, said, "I am genuinely happy to welcome Mayuri back, this time with greater reach and responsibility to not just lead the brand and communication design team, but also enhance the entire solution basket from Elephant."

Nikumbh said, “It is a full circle moment, but I return to Elephant with a broader lens and a bigger ambition. I am excited to bring fresh thinking and new ways of working while building on its strong legacy. As technology rapidly transforms the creative industry, authenticity in both narrative and craft matters more than ever. I see an opportunity to take bold ideas and distinctive design thinking to a global stage, while creating new possibilities for the organisation.”

In the past, she has also worked with Onio Design and Softcell Technolgies.
