VML India dominated the third batch of shortlists announced by the organisers of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
The agency secured a total of six shortlists while India secured 20. India's total shortlist now stands at 38.
Industry Craft
VML got a shortlist each for its entries titled 'Seal Alarm' and 'Seabird Alarm' for The Times of India. Ogilvy earned a shortlist for Taj Mahal's 'Megh Santoor'.
Entertainment
Ogilvy's 'Erase Valentine's Day' for Cadbury 5 Star was the only Indian shortlist in this category.
Entertainment Lions for Music
VML India got two shortlists in this category as well. They came for Coke Studio's 'Sing To Remember'. Leo Burnett's 'Feel The Music' for Spotify was also shortlisted.
Entertainment Lions for Sport
Leo Burnett's 'Turf Finder' for Gatorade was the only Indian shortlist in this category.

FCB Kinnect got three shortlists for HDFC Bank's 'Lulemon EOSS' in this category. Leo Burnett and VML earned a shortlist each for Gatorade's 'Turf Finder' and Coke Studio's 'Sing To Remember'.
Media
Ogilvy and Rapport's joint entry titled 'Megh Santoor' for Taj Mahal earned a shortlist in this category.
DDB Mudra Group and W+K Kennedy New York's combined entry 'Cosplay' for McDonald's also earned a shortlist.
Design
McCann's 'Fit My Feet' for Buckaroo and VML's '#UnplasticIndia' for The Times of India earned a shortlist each.
Direct
Dentsu Creative (Motorola - Deep Connect), Leo Burnett (Gatorade - Turf Finder) and McCann (Fit My Feet - Buckaroo) earned a shortlist each.
India had no shortlists in the following categories: Social and Influencer, Entertainment Lions for Gaming, Digital Craft.
