APAC Effies 2024: The Womb wins independent agency of the year, McCann and Ogilvy also win big

Ujjivan Small Finance Bank finishes third on the brand and marketer of the year list.

Indian agencies bagged a total of 34 wins APAC Effie Awards 2024, which were announced in Singapore on 13 September. 

The Womb won the independent agency of the year accolade, while McCann's New Delhi office was second on the agency of the year list followed by Ogilvy's Mumbai office.

McCann's client Ujjivan Small Finance Bank finished third on the brand and marketer of the year list. 

The most-awarded Indian agency on the night was Ogilvy (Gurugram and Mumbai offices) with 10 wins. The Gold wins came for 'Joke in a Bottle' (The Coca-Cola Company) and 'My Birthday Song' (Mondelez). The agency's tally also consisted of three Silver and five Bronze.

McCann's New Delhi office had a total of seven wins. It won two Gold Effies for 'An Envelope for Women's Financial Fate' for Ujjivan Small Finance Bank. The agency also won three Silver and two Bronze.

Leo Burnett won two Gold and two Silver Effies. The Gold wins came for Flipkart Internet's 'Drove 1.4bn Visits In A Nation of 1.4Bn' and 'Helping Farmers Fight Climate Change' for PepsiCo.

The Womb won Gold for Britannia Industries' 'Can A Cookie Teach You How To Live?'. The agency also bagged two Silver and two Bronze enroute winning the 'independent agency of the year' accolade.

Other Indian agencies to win on the night were:

DDB Mudra Group (a Silver and three Bronze)
Brand David (a Silver and two Bronze)
BBDO (Silver)
