Sony Sports Network has rolled out a promo for the upcoming football friendly match between India and Brazil.

The promo opens with a corner kick being taken by a Brazilian player. The ball travels across seas to land in the hands of an Indian supporter. After that a series of Indian fans portrayed to be from different parts of the country and of different age groups appear on screen showing their excitement for the upcoming match. The film also features actor Pankaj Tripathi stating how it's the first time in history a star filled Brazilian team is touring India for a friendly game. The film ends with Tripathi inviting viewers to host and be part of India's biggest football watch party.

What we think about it: The network showcases all of India getting ready for the game by selling it as a moment more than a match. The network probably didn't have access to the player footage, else that may have been more compelling for a football fan, but the idea could also be about bringing in non fans to watch this game.

The match between India and Brazil will be played on 3 October, followed by India hosting Uruguay on 6 October.
