British Airways has rolled out a film to celebrate 100 years of flying between India and the United Kingdom.

The film, which was published on social media on 24 October narrates the story of a first-time flyer, a young girl from a small town in North India. The entire town is out to wave goodbye and drop her to the airport. En route, the minivan transporting the girl towards Delhi breaks down. While the girl and her family are panicking, a bus transporting British Airways' cabin crew is passing by. A crew members spots her passport and ticket in her hand and stops by. The bus, not only transports her, but also her family to the airport, so that they can bid her goodbye.

What we think about it: British Airways in its Diwali films over the years has been trying to establish an emotional connect with its audience. This one, rolled out during Diwali, doesn't focus on the festival, but on the insight of a small town girl taking her first flight, which could help in breaking the festive clutter.
