Mahindra Thar has rolled out a campaign, 'The Life, The SUV’, for its Thar Roxx.
Featuring actor Abhay Deol, the ad film opens at a party where a woman approaches him for a dance. He politely declines, suggesting he’s not quite up for it. However, as she turns away, he notices her Thar keys, realising that the invitation may not have been about dancing in the conventional sense. What follows is a stylised sequence of the duo driving their respective Thars in perfect sync. Set against dynamic backdrops, the film choreographs the SUVs like dance partners, mirroring movements, pacing, and turns, with the synchronised driving becoming a metaphor for chemistry, poise, and complete harmony. The film concludes on this note of rhythm and alignment, reinforcing the idea of the SUV as both performer and partner.
What we think about it: The film offers a fresh, metaphor-led take on SUV storytelling, using dance to convey passion, rhythm and precision. The transition from a couple’s dance cue to synchronised driving is clever and engaging, while also appealing to both genders with a visually compelling yet inclusive narrative.
The film released on 25 March across social media.
