Wedding wear brand Mohey has rolled out a film 'Jap Aap Tayaar, Hum Tayaar' (when you are ready, we are) featuring brand ambassador and actor Janhvi Kapoor.

The film shows Kapoor and her bridesmaids getting ready for the actor's wedding. Through eye contact Kapoor asks her bridesmaids whether they are ready to get married themselves. Each of them have different replies - one is uncertain because she has just begun working on her start-up, while another who is just 22 feels she's ready.  The idea is about not putting pressure on women and letting them embrace marriage on their own terms and at their own pace.

What we think about it: The conversation with the friends through eye-contact seems so genuine. We loved how the elderly woman asked the event manager to not rush the women just because the baarat had arrived.

Vedant Modi, chief revenue officer, Vedant Fashions, said, “The idea behind 'Jab Aap Taiyaar, Hum Taiyaar' is to reflect a shift in how marriage is perceived by today’s women. It’s not about societal timelines but about personal growth and empowerment. Mohey is here as a companion to every woman’s journey, ready to celebrate her individuality and choices when she feels it’s the right moment. We are so happy to welcome Janhvi Kapoor to our Mohey family!"

The film released on social media on 19 September.
