Hyundai Motor India has rolled out a campaign, ‘Respect the Young’, to highlight the features of its newly launched Verna.
The campaign celebrates the spirit of a new generation that is bold, expressive and unapologetically ambitious and comprises an ad film.
The film brings to life through everyday moments of confidence and earned respect. It opens with a young man driving the Hyundai Verna past a tennis court, where two elderly men pause in quiet admiration, exchanging a nod that reflects mutual respect. In another scene, a young female corporate leader seated in the rear seat commands admiration from a group of children who look at her with inspiration. The film also shows a young army officer receiving a proud salute upon entering a military building, symbolising respect earned through service. It closes in a serene hillside setting, where a young man offers his scarf to an elderly doorkeeper, a gesture of humility and compassion. Together, these moments celebrate a generation that earns respect through character and action, a mindset mirrored by the Hyundai Verna’s bold design, performance and technology.
What we think about it: The film lands its point with restraint, using routine moments to frame young ambition as something earned rather than claimed, which keeps it emotionally credible. The storytelling feels familiar in a reassuring way, allowing the message to shine while the Hyundai Verna integrates smoothly into the narrative as a natural extension of this mindset.
Virat Khullar, head, marketing, Hyundai Motor India, said, “Young India is redefining ambition, confidence and success. They are bold in their choices and expect products that mirror their progressive outlook. The ‘Respect the young’ campaign is a tribute to this generation that is shaping the future. With the new Hyundai Verna, we are offering a sedan that perfectly reflects their aspirations. At the heart of the campaign is the belief that today’s young consumers are not just the drivers of tomorrow but the decision-makers of today.”
