Flipkart has rolled out a campaign 'Flipkart Ki Open Box Delivery, Makes TV-Lena Worry Free' (Flipkart's open box delivery makes buying a TV worry free), featuring actor Sumeet Vyaas to highlight its open box delivery offering for customers.
The campaign features an ad film, where Vyas is seen watching a horror movie at home. Midway through, his newly purchased TV gets delivered. To his and the delivery man’s surprise, the ghost from Vyas’s horror film seemingly comes to life, appearing behind the delivery guy. She ominously questions, “A new TV bought online? What if it doesn’t work?” Unfazed, the Flipkart delivery man smirks, unboxex the TV right in front of Vyas, and sets it up seamlessly. He then explains the concept of Flipkart’s open-box delivery to the ghost, reassuring her. With her concerns dismissed, Vyas sends the ghost on her way, and the film concludes by highlighting Flipkart’s offerings.
What we think about it: Cleverly blends humour and relatability, turning a ghostly scare into a hilarious endorsement of its open-box delivery service.
The campaign was rolled out on YouTube on 9 December.
