Google Gemini's 'Dance Classes' campaign.

Google Gemini has rolled out a campaign, 'Dance Classes', featuring actor Shah Rukh Khan to spotlight its Gemini Live AI offerings.

The campaign comprises an ad film featuring Khan as a brother having a conversation with his sister on a couch. She tells him that she sees many people going to work and wants to become financially independent. Khan responds, “Mat kaho kharaab hai taqdeerein, khud likho na kismat ki lakeerein” (do not say that destiny is unkind; shape the lines of your own fate yourself). He then takes out his phone and uses Google Gemini Live, telling the AI assistant that the woman is his sister and that she wants to contribute financially to the family. Gemini analyses portraits of her doing Kathak and suggests that she could turn her skills into an income stream by starting Kathak classes. Since there are no such classes in their neighbourhood, the assistant recommends starting small with two classes a week. The film ends with Khan delivering the line, “Google Gemini. Ab dost hai saath, toh khul ke karo baat (Now that a friend is by your side, speak your mind freely).

What we think about it: The film effectively positions Gemini Live as an approachable, everyday companion by showing how a simple conversation can uncover an opportunity from an existing skill. Khan’s natural charm makes the interaction feel warm and conversational, while the solution gives viewers a clear example of how Gemini can translate everyday conversations into practical possibilities.

The campaign was released on YouTube and Instagram on 8 August.
