VIP Industries has rolled out a campaign, 'Travel VIP', to showcase its distinct luggage collections engineered for the evolving demands of the modern Indian traveller.
Conceptualised by McCann India, the campaign comprises three ad films.
The first film (above) follows a traveller arriving at a popular tourist destination with her VIP Pod suitcase. Spotting a long queue outside a store and pressed for time, she cleverly slides her suitcase ahead to hold her place. The moment highlights the suitcase's sturdy suspension wheels and smooth manoeuvrability. Even as it glides across the surface, her coffee remains steady in the dedicated cup holder, underscoring the thoughtful design and convenience of the VIP Pod.
The second film centres on a couple enjoying a hotel getaway. While the woman takes a leisurely swim in the pool, her partner is seen discreetly catching up on work from the pool deck. The film showcases VIP Flex, highlighting its dedicated compartment that allows a laptop to be securely stored while keeping the suitcase compact, organised and travel-friendly.
The third film shines a spotlight on the VIP Classic. As a woman packs for a wedding celebration, she neatly fits outfits for the mehendi, sangeet and wedding ceremony into her suitcase. Just when it seems full, she effortlessly creates additional room for her partner's belongings using the suitcase's expandable zipper feature, demonstrating how VIP Classic adapts to every travel need without compromising on space.
What we think about it: The films keep things snappy and easy to grasp, ensuring that each product feature is communicated without getting lost in elaborate storytelling. By anchoring distinct functionalities in relatable travel moments, the campaign quickly conveys what sets each collection apart.
Atul Jain, managing director, VIP Industries, said, “VIP 2.0 is here. Travel today is more dynamic than ever, and the expectations that come with it are equally evolved. With VIP Classic, VIP Flex, and VIP Pod, we have set out to bring together contemporary design, purposeful functionality, and the kind of everyday ease that today’s Indian traveller rightly demands. Travel VIP is not just a campaign; it reflects the direction in which we see this category moving, and the role we intend VIP to play in shaping it.”
Mayuresh Dubhashi, head - creative, McCann India, added, “Travel VIP marks a significant evolution for the brand. We wanted to move beyond showcasing features in isolation and instead tell a story about what those features enable. In a tightly crafted format, each film demonstrates how a bag can elevate an ordinary travel moment into a VIP experience. The premiumisation of the brand is reflected across every creative decision, from cast, to music and the worlds we built. We’ve shifted the conversation away from where people travel and towards the how of travel. Because ultimately, the difference isn’t just being well-travelled, it’s travelling well. That’s what Travel VIP stands for.”
