Dream11 has rolled out a campaign "Poora Fan Bano” (become a complete fan), featuring cricketers, Rohit Sharma, Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues, ahead of the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2024.
Conceptualised by Tilt Brand Solutions, the campaign which consists of a series of ad films, rallies cricket fans to show their support for the Indian women’s cricket team. With a humorous twist, the films emphasise that true cricket lovers back the game in all its forms—no matter who’s on the field. The ads playfully highlight how many fans only follow men's cricket, while true-blue supporters stand behind the women’s team as well. Digital creators Aakash Gupta, Ravi Gupta, and RJ Kisna bring the fans to life, while Rohit Sharma delivers a powerful message in each film, urging viewers to cheer for the women’s team in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
What we think about it: The film is an impactful call-to-action, leveraging Rohit Sharma's star power to champion equal support for both men's and women's cricket. The ad’s humorous yet relatable narrative quickly captures attention, while its clear, single-minded message resonates with cricket enthusiasts. By delivering a sharp, emotive appeal within a short duration, the campaign effectively drives home its purpose, ensuring high recall and engagement.
Vikrant Mudaliar, chief marketing officer, Dream Sports & Dream11, said, “With Poora Fan Bano, we’re encouraging fans to embrace the full spectrum of Indian cricket.
