Lxme, a financial platform focused on women, has joined the Indian Women’s League (IWL) as title sponsor under a multi-year partnership with Capri Sports.

The association brings together Lxme’s focus on women’s financial independence and Capri Sports’ commitment to developing women’s football in India.

It marks the first major sponsorship milestone following Capri Sports’ 15-year commitment to the sport.

The partnership comes amid continued calls for greater investment and visibility for women’s sport, where athletes often receive less support and exposure than their male counterparts.

For Lxme, the association extends its focus on women’s financial empowerment into sport.

The platform aims to help women manage their finances, build wealth and make informed financial decisions.

Through the partnership, Lxme and Capri Sports will focus on supporting the growth of women’s football in India and improving visibility and opportunities for women athletes.

The multi-year deal positions women’s football as an area for sustained investment, linking the development of the sport with broader conversations around women’s participation and economic empowerment.

Jinisha Sharma, director and promoter, Capri Sports, said, “We’ve always believed that women’s sport is good business. It needs investment, attention, and the same commercial ambition that has helped build successful sporting properties around the world. When we committed to 15 years of building the Indian Women’s League, we did so because we see the potential to create something of real value for clubs, players, fans and brands. Having Lxme come on board so early in that journey is particularly meaningful because they understand this philosophy. They’ve built their own business around recognising and investing in the economic potential of women. For us, this partnership is about much more than a logo on a jersey. It’s about bringing together businesses that are willing to back their convictions and help build the future of women’s football in India."

Priti Rathi Gupta, founder, Lxme, added, "At Lxme, we have always believed that women’s financial independence deserves to be taken as seriously as every other aspect of their empowerment. Our mission has been to challenge the notion that women’s financial futures can take a backseat. We see a similar need in sport, where women athletes continue to deserve greater visibility, investment and opportunity. Our partnership with Capri Sports is a natural extension of this belief that women’s potential should never be limited by how much space they are given. Whether in finance or on the field, empowering women to take charge, participate and succeed on their own terms creates value that extends far beyond the individual.”
