FanCode bags digital streaming rights for Lanka Premier League 2026 in India

The platform will stream every LPL match from 17 July to 8 August.

The partnership comes as the LPL continues to strengthen its position among South Asia's leading franchise T20 leagues.

FanCode has secured the exclusive digital streaming rights for the sixth edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) in India, bringing comprehensive live coverage of Sri Lanka's premier franchise T20 competition to cricket fans across the country.

Scheduled to run from 17 July to 8 August, 2026, the tournament is organised by Sri Lanka Cricket, with commercial and event rights held by Innovative Production Group FZ, LLC (IPG).

The partnership comes as the LPL continues to strengthen its position among South Asia's leading franchise T20 leagues.

The league said audience consumption grew by 65% compared to the previous season, with the FanCode partnership expected to further expand its digital reach and fan engagement in India.

The 2026 edition will feature 62 Sri Lankan cricketers and 32 international players representing five franchises: Colombo Kaps, Dambulla Sixers, Galle Gallants, Kandy Royals and defending champions SC Jaffna Kings.

Indian viewers will have an added reason to tune in, with all-rounder Vijay Shankar set to make his Lanka Premier League debut for the Kandy Royals.

The tournament will also feature international stars including Moeen Ali, Jimmy Neesham, Shakib Al Hasan, Taskin Ahmed, Wanindu Hasaranga and Angelo Mathews.

The five teams will compete in a double round-robin format before progressing to the playoffs. With player draft registrations from 21 countries and expanded digital access through FanCode in India, the 2026 edition marks another step in the league's global expansion and commercial growth.
