Ruchira Kanwal and Madhurita Sengupta join BCCL 

Kanwal moves from Manifest, where she was business head, and Sengupta moves from JioBlackRock Investment Advisers, where she was CMO.

Bennett Coleman & Co. (The Times of India) has announced the appointment of Ruchira Kanwal and Madhurita Sengupta. 

Kanwal has joined Bennett Coleman & Co (The Times of India) as business head - 1838. Furthermore, Sengupta has joined as head - ET Product, Marketing & Events, The Economic Times Brand at Bennett Coleman & Co. (The Times of India).

In her new role, Kanwal will be responsible for shaping and growing the 1838 business from the ground up, working closely with internal stakeholders to build an integrated ecosystem spanning community, events, media, magazines, partnerships, and experiences, while establishing 1838 as a distinctive cultural platform and a scalable premium business for BCCL.

Sengupta will lead the conceptualisation, development, marketing, and execution of high-impact products and events, including the creation and scaling of new, differentiated product monetisation. She will continue to drive Brand growth, enhance Reader engagement and strengthen advertiser relationships through innovative marketing strategies.

Before joining BCCL, Sengupta was the chief marketing officer, JioBlackRock Investment Advisers. Whereas, Kanwal moves from RP Sanjiv Goenka Group, where she was business head - Manifest.

Kanwal has over 20 years of experience and has worked with Condé Nast India and The Oberoi Group, among others. As for Sengupta, in her career spanning over two decades, she has also worked with DBS Bank, Vodafone India and HSBC, among others.
