Deloitte India and South Asia Partners have reappointed Romal Shetty as chief executive officer for a second four-year term, effective 1 April 2027.
The reappointment follows a nomination process conducted over the past few months and an affirmation vote. The decision was announced to employees yesterday.
Shetty has served as CEO of Deloitte India since April 2023. He joined the Company in 2017 as president - consulting for India.
During his tenure, the India business became Deloitte’s sixth-largest member firm globally and its third-largest consulting practice, behind the US and UK.
Deloitte India has set a target of becoming the country’s largest professional services firm by 2028.
During Shetty’s second term, the firm’s strategy is expected to focus on AI-led transformation, platform-based services, managed services and industry-specific solutions. It also plans to expand its presence in tier-2 and 3 cities under its ‘Project Bharat’ initiative.
The firm is also expected to continue investing in talent and digital capabilities as part of its growth plans.
