Bama Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna have been issued bailable arrest warrants by a Kerala Court following issuing misleading ads for treatment of certain diseases.

This comes after Divya Pharmacy, an affiliated company of Patanjali Ayurved, which is co-founded by Baba Ramdev, published ads that promised improvement of the capacity of human beings for sexual pleasure as well as promised treating, curing and mitigating certain diseases under section 3 (D) of the Drugs and Magic Remedies act.

The bailable warrant was issued on 16 January and the next date is 1 February.

According to a story published by www.livelaw.in, in 2023, The Supreme court had reprimanded Patanjali Ayurved for continuing to publish misleading claims and advertisements against modern systems of medicine.
