Social has launched Social Studio, opening select areas across its outlets as creator spaces equipped for content production.

The first phase will cover six Social outlets across Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru — Chembur Social, Carter Road Social, Hauz Khas Village Social, Vasant Kunj Social, Indiranagar Social and JP Nagar Social.

The spaces will offer creators access to equipment including professional microphones, tripods, studio lights, green screens and shooting props.

The initiative is aimed at providing infrastructure for creators working across formats such as podcasts, video, fashion, food, entertainment, gaming and digital storytelling.

Social has also rolled out two ad films featuring creators Sidhant Dhall and Sheena to introduce Social Studio and its offering to the creator community.

The launch builds on Social Works, which opened its cafés to founders, freelancers and teams looking for spaces to work and meet. Social Studio extends the use of its physical network to content creation.

According to Social’s Voices of the Hood cultural report, 54% of respondents said Instagram was the app they used most frequently.

The first phase will be followed by a second rollout across Pune, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Lucknow and Dehradun.
