Swiggy has announced the launch of its new offering Bolt, where it aims to deliver within 10 minutes.
Currently operational in six major cities in India which include Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Chennai, and Bengaluru. It aims to expand into additional areas in the coming weeks.
The ‘Bolt - Food in 10 mins’ tile will be featured on the food page of the Swiggy app. The offering is designed to deliver quick-to-prepare meals from popular restaurants and quick-service restaurants (QSRs) within a 2 km radius of the consumer, ensuring that customers enjoy their favourite dishes without compromising on taste, freshness, or quality.
This is made possible by partnering with restaurants that excel in quick-order turnarounds and by focusing on dishes that require minimal to no preparation time.
Delivery partners are not informed of the distinction between Bolt and regular orders, ensuring that they are neither penalised nor incentivised based on delivery time.
Customers will be able to choose from national brands such as KFC, McDonald's, Burger King, Baskin Robbins, Starbucks, Chaayos, and EatFit. Furthermore, local brands like Karachi Bakery and G Pulla Reddy Sweets in Hyderabad, MM Mithaiwala in Mumbai, Bhartiya Jalpan and Anand Sweets in Bangalore, Sethi Ice Cream in Delhi, and Irani Cafe in Pune, among many others, will also be available through the new offering.
Rohit Kapoor, CEO, Swiggy’s Food Marketplace, said, “Bolt is the next evolution in our mission to provide unmatched convenience. Ten years ago, Swiggy revolutionised food delivery by cutting average wait times to 30 minutes. Now, we’re reducing that wait even further for frequently ordered items like coffee, burgers, ice cream, and biryani, partnering with trusted restaurants to deliver the best food in just 10 minutes.”
