Indian agencies bagged a total of eight Pencils at the D&AD Awards 2024.
BBDO won a 'White Pencil' for Ariel's 'See the signs of separation' in the 'Sustained Impact' category. According to D&AD, a White Pencil is the ultimate accolade for creative work that makes a real difference in the industry.
VML was the most-awarded agency from India. It won a Yellow Pencil and two Wood Pencils for '#UnplasticIndia' created for The Times of India.
It also won a Wood Pencil for Unipads' 'Blood Fertiliser'.
Ek Type won a Yellow and Wood Pencil each. The Yellow Pencil was won for the entry titled 'Nithya Ranjana' (pictured below - right). The Wood Pencil was for Google's 'Honk'.
Ogilvy won a Wood Pencil for Vi's 'Human Network Testing Network'.
