The winners for WARC's APAC Awards have been announced. India topped the list of the most-awarded countries with a total of 12 wins.
McCann topped the list with three wins, a tally that consisted of two Gold and a Bronze. The Gold wins came for Ujjivan Small Finance Bank (an envelope that sealed the fate of women) in the 'Brand Purpose' category and Nescafe (brewing coffee culture in tea-drinking India) in the 'Long-Term Growth' category. The Bronze win was for Paytm's 'Making Money Talk' in the 'B2B' category.
Leo Burnett also had three wins. It won Gold for Whisper's 'changing the education system to keep girls in school' entry in the 'Cultural Impact' category. The agency also won two Silvers. One came in the 'Cultural Impact' category for Oreo's 'can a cookie help India win the World Cup', while the other was in the 'Instant Impact' category for Spotify's 'Spotify becomes the undisputed leader in the IPL' entry.
PepsiCo won Gold in the 'Use of Data' category for the entry titled 'Democratising technology to help farmers fight climate change' for Lay's.
Ogilvy India's three wins consisted of a Silver and two Bronze. The Silver was for 5 Star's 'Doing Nothing Makes You Unmissable' in the 'Channel Pioneer' category. The Bronze wins were for 5 Star (The Mush Detector) in the 'Strategic Thinking' category and Dove (Dove's journey from good to loved) in the 'Brand Purpose' category.
TBWA\ bagged a Silver for Lead School in the 'Brand Purpose' category.
Mindshare won Bronze for Sunlight Laundry Detergent's 'Reviving the lost colours of West Bengal' in the 'Channel Integration' category.
