WPP has appointed Hephzibah Pathak as CEO of WPP Creative in India, a newly created role that brings together the network’s creative agency operations under a more unified structure. She will continue in her current position as executive chairperson of Ogilvy India.

In her expanded remit, Pathak will oversee WPP’s creative agency portfolio in the market, driving deeper collaboration across brands including Ogilvy, VML, AKQA, Burson, Landor and Design Bridge. The move is aimed at simplifying access to WPP’s capabilities for clients, while preserving the distinct identities of its individual agencies.

"In India, Hephzibah Pathak has been appointed CEO of WPP Creative, representing all the iconic agencies under the WPP Creative umbrella. She will work collaboratively with the agency brand CEOs to enhance integration, expand capabilities, and ensure seamless client access to our full talent pool. Our iconic agency brands continue to be a key part of the ecosystem, and the focus remains on client benefit and integrated creative excellence,” WPP said in a statement.

The mandate also underscores a push towards integrated, AI-enabled creative solutions, with Pathak tasked with aligning talent, tools and processes across the network, it added.

In a career spanning over 25 years, Pathak previously served as chief client officer and led Ogilvy India’s Mumbai office before taking over as Ogilvy India head in 2024.
