Pinaki Bhattacharya has stepped down as chief strategy officer at VML, bringing to a close a nearly 16-year stint with the agency.

Bhattacharya announced his departure via a LinkedIn post, where he reflected on what he described as “a fabulous run,” attributing much of the journey to the people he worked with and the teams he helped build over the years.

While he confirmed his exit, Bhattacharya indicated that he does not intend to disclose his next professional move in the near term.

Prior to his long association with VML, Bhattacharya served as senior vice president – planning at Saatchi & Saatchi.

His earlier stints include roles at Draft FCB Ulka, JWT, and TBWA Anthem, among other organisations.
