Days after Arthur Sadoun, CEO, Publicis Groupe, and rapper Snoop Dogg celebrated the French holding company's 'top-dog' position, Omnicom Media Group announced the acquisition of IPG, a deal that would make the two American-based companies the biggest advertising roup.

After the news of the merger broke, Sadoun returned in front of the camera to share some of his thoughts about the deal.

He called the news positive for the industry and stated that if the deal does go through it will be a lot of fun.

He added the according to analysts, Publicis is a 'good house in a bad neighbourhood' indicating that the industry needs to see some changes.

Sadoun also recalled the 'Publicis Omincom Group' proposed merger from 2013 which didn't go ahead and stated that every leader among the two agency groups will have to focused internally on integration if the deal is to be successful.

He stated that the amount of money Omnicom is paying for IPG in one go, is the amount Publicis has invested in data and technology over the last decade.

He added that the industry is ready to have a 'lot of fun' if the merger does go ahead and while he didn't label it a 'David vs Goliath situation', he said that Publicis enjoys the battle when it's a 'bold challenger'.

He signed off wishing his former boss, John Wren (Sadoun was with TBWA briefly) and IPG's Philippe Krakowsky all the best.
