Rediffusion Brand Solutions has announced the appointment of Amitava Sinha as managing partner. Sinha will be running Rediffusion's operations in East India.

This is his second stint with the agency, having spent 12 years between 2003 to 2015. He was chief operating officer when he left Rediffusion to join Srei. For the last six years, Sinha has been working as an independent consultant.

Sandeep Goyal, managing director, Rediffusion, said, "As Rediffusion gears up to extend its national footprint, I am delighted to have someone of Amitava’s experience on board. His proven track record in managing large brands with diverse challenges, building strong client partnerships and nurturing talent will no doubt strengthen the Rediffusion offering. We are seeing buoyant demand from markets in the East and Amitava is being charged with the responsibility of growing businesses in that geography.”

Sinha said, “For me returning to the Rediff fold is really a homecoming of sorts and indeed somewhat overwhelming. I am excited to again work in the agency ecosystem which I daresay has changed significantly since my last stint here and in partnering Sandeep in taking Rediff to the next level."

Sreeparna Sengupta who heads Rediffusion Kolkata will continue to lead the operation.

Sinha began his career in the 1980s with Reckitt. He has also worked with JWT, McCann and Bates.
