'Lessons From a Football' campaign

Mahindra Group has rolled out a film, ‘Lessons from a Football,’ for its Nanhi Kali initiative.

Conceptualised by Ogilvy, the film is set in a school. It opens with a teacher telling a classroom full of girls that they are going to learn something new today, after which she takes out a football and places it on the table. While learning how to play football, the girls are also taught lessons about life and how there’s more to them than what they are conditioned to.

What we think about it: A compelling and strong narrative, the film leaves the viewers amazed. The analogies drawn from real-life and using football as a metaphor, everything in the film beautifully depicts the core mission of Nanhi Kali. The ad scores a touchdown with the line ‘Gol Sirf Rotiyan Nahi Hoti,' (making round rotis isn't the only goal in life).

The film was released on 25 July.
