Gukesh Dommaraju shows Viswanathan Anand the right way to connect to Gen Z with Myntra

Myntra has rolled out a campaign for Fwd featuring chess grandmasters Gukesh Dommaraju and Viswanathan Anand.

The film opens with a light-hearted exchange between the two World Chess champions. Anand asks Dommaraju how it feels to be the World Champion, to which Dommaraju humorously responds that surprisingly, everyone wants to touch the trophy. He then teases Anand, asking if he’d like to touch it too. Anand, with a grin, mentions that he already has four trophies of his own. He then tells Dommaraju that one thing that he needs his help is to understand Gen Z lingo. Dommaraju suggests that to truly connect with Gen Z, Anand should either embrace the lingo or, at the very least, shop for some trendy clothes on Myntra Fwd.

What we think about it: The film is fun to watch and the playful exchange between the two is also entertaining. The narrative perfectly captures the essence of the brand’s connection to Gen Z.
