Vivo's 'The Spirit of Homecoming' campaign

Vivo has rolled out the latest edition of its #JoyofHomecoming theme titled 'The Spirit of Homecoming' ahead of Diwali.

Conceptualised by FCB India, the campaign consisting of an ad film encapsulates the spirit of Diwali—the joy of returning home to loved ones, reflecting Vivo’s ten-year dedication to nurturing meaningful connections. The film narrates the age-old story of children scattered across the country in pursuit of their dreams, yet feeling an irresistible pull to return home for the festival. It poignantly illustrates the silent bond between parents, who yearn for their children's presence without expressing it, and the children, who recognise that their homecoming embodies the true essence of the celebration. Each reunion serves as a gentle reminder that the brilliance of Diwali isn’t found in dazzling lights or grand festivities, but in the warmth of family gathered together—the true heart of home. The narrative artfully evokes emotion, underlining that the real light of Diwali is kindled not by diyas (earthen lamps), but by those who transform a house into a home.

And sometimes, it takes the form of pictures  – missing fairy lights, that you would help put over the doorway, a missing rangoli, that you would help decorate the verandah with, or a missing smile, that you, and only you, could bring to your parent’s face. This Diwali, vivo celebrates ten years of taking the pictures that bring millions to where they belong during the festive season – to the ones they love.”
