Beats by Dre has rolled out a campaign 'Athletes Get It' to showcase its Studio Pro, Solo Bids and Fit Pro offerings.
The campaign, which consists of an ad film features athletes such as footballer Lionel Messi; NBA champion and four-time Olympic medalist Lebron James; Manchester City player and Champions League Champion, Erling Haaland; LA Dodgers player; four-time grand slam winner, tennis player, Naomi Osaka; two-time Olympic track and field medalist, Sha'Carri Richardson; eight-time F1 Grand Prix winner, Daniel Ricciardo; Olympic climber, Miho Nonaka; University of Colorado quarterback, Shedeur Sanders and LA Lakers rookie player, Bronny James.
The ad film highlights the brand as the premier choice for professional athletes, narrated by WNBA star Angel Reese. It opens with a showcase of the brand's flagship products, seamlessly transitioning to a scene of Messi wearing Beats headphones while training on the pitch. As he effortlessly scores a goal, Reese’s voiceover emphasises the importance of pursuing dreams. The film then delivers a montage of high-energy clips, capturing each athlete excelling in their sport. Throughout, champions unite around the message of chasing dreams with unyielding passion, all while using the brand's products. The film concludes with a bold question to the viewer: “What’s stopping you?” — inspiring the audience to pursue their aspirations fearlessly.
What we think about it: Leveraging high-profile sports personalities with a narrative that connects deeply with an audience eager to succeed both on the field and in life. It positions the sports personalities not just as endorsers but as authentic storytellers. The film is well-timed, maintains a strong pace, and delivers a message that truly resonates. Featuring a lineup of star players broadens the brand’s reach across various demographics, given each athlete’s massive social media following.
The campaign was rolled out on 31 October 2024 on YouTube and Instagram.
