Deepa Jatkar, chief growth officer, Wavemaker, has been handed the role of heading OpenDoor in India.

OpenDoor is WPP's bespoke unit created to service Amazon. 

Jatkar had joined WPP's Wavemaker in 2023. She worked with the group, first in 2002 with Mindshare, and then with Mediacom in 2008. She has also worked with Meta, Omnicom and McCann.

WPP is looking to expand the OpenDoor team with roles across Mumbai and Bengaluru.
