Miami Ad School has announced its upcoming Portfolio Evening, an exclusive event supported by Garage Worldwide.
This event serves as an opportunity for emerging creatives to present their portfolios to some of the top creative directors in the city, gaining invaluable facetime, new contacts, and expert advice on how to make their portfolios stand out.
The purpose of Portfolio Evening is to provide a unique platform where aspiring creatives can showcase their work to top creative directors in the city, all in one evening. It's more than just displaying one's best work; it's an opportunity to engage face-to-face with industry superstars who offer invaluable insights and guidance. Attendees can expect an energetic, fast-paced evening of one-to-one portfolio reviews.
Young creatives, including students, recent graduates, and young professionals, will have the chance to receive at least three 15-minute reviews from established creatives in their region. These sessions can take up to three hours to ensure all attendees get their turn.
After the reviews, the night will transition into a vibrant networking event, complete with good food and drinks, where new connections are made.
Portfolio Evening is perfect for those eager to work creatively within an advertising, digital agency, or in-house creative department. This includes roles like copywriters, art directors, interactive art directors and graphic designers with a strong focus on advertising.
For the session, the portfolio should showcase the best work pieces that represent your skills and creative thinking. This could include mini print campaigns, film projects, digital/social media led projects, OOH, innovative media or more. Participants must prioritise quality over quantity.
Each participant will have approximately fifteen minutes for their scheduled reviews.
This event is starting in Mumbai. According to a statement from Miami Ad School, the event will also be held in Bengaluru and Delhi.
