This will be the agency's tenth location globally and its first office in Asia.

The co-founder and creative chairperson of Gut, Anselmo Ramos, took to LinkedIn to announce the launch of Gut Singapore.

This will be the agency's tenth location globally and its first office in Asia.

The new office will be led by Jessica Davey, who joins Gut as managing director for Asia following a two-year stint as SVP, head of clients, Media.Monks.

Other appointments include its APAC chief creative officer, Carlos Camacho, formerly CCO of David, and the head of strategy, Belynda Sim-Mak, former cultural strategy lead at Le Pub APAC.

All of the newly appointed members for Asia will report to Andrea Diquez, global CEO, Gut.

Additional Singapore-based hires include group account director, Liz Leow, who joins the agency from ADK, and creative director, Meyvi Wedelia, who moves from Toaster.

Ramos said, "When I was a junior writer starting my career in Brazil, there were two cities I would move to without ever being there. Minneapolis because of the clever headlines. And Singapore because of the well-written long-copy ads. Unfortunately, I’ve never worked in any of those classic advertising cities. That’s why I’m so excited to announce our first Gut office in Asia. Say hi to Gut Singapore! We’re finally bringing all our courage, transparency, and intuition to Singapore. We dream of becoming one of the most diverse, creative, and influential agencies in Asia and beyond. We’ve got a lot to learn from a region that’s entirely new for us, and that has been inspiring us for decades. So we’re coming 51% humble, 49% confident. Cheers to our tenth office in six years! Let’s go Gut Singapore. Every Gut office is right there with you. We welcome Jess Davey Carlos Camacho,  Belynda Sim-Mak, Liz Leow, and Meyvi Wedelia. Huat Singapore!"
