WPP Media has entered into a technology partnership with agentic AI startup Kily to expand its commerce offering in India.
The partnership will combine Kily’s agentic commerce technology with WPP Open, WPP’s agentic marketing platform, to support brands and sellers across ecommerce marketplaces and quick commerce platforms.
Kily develops AI agents that manage commerce functions including product listings, pricing and advertising. Its technology is designed to bring these operations together across multiple commerce platforms.
Through the integration, WPP Media’s Commerce Practice in India will use data and signals across platforms, categories and consumer touchpoints to inform commerce planning and execution.
The partnership will also incorporate Kily’s technology into WPP Media’s Integrated Commerce Planner, with AI used for planning and optimisation across demand, inventory and media.
Kily was founded by former Flipkart and Affle executives Sankalp Mehrotra and Anurag Singh. The startup focuses on automating operations and decision-making across multi-platform commerce.
The partnership forms part of WPP Media’s push towards greater use of autonomous advertising and AI-led commerce tools in India.
Sankalp Mehrotra, co-founder and CEO, Kily, said, “Kily is deeply focused on bringing autonomy to commerce management. India's fragmented multi-marketplace landscape makes a solution like ours critical for judgment, decision-making and outcomes at scale. Working with WPP Media, we are enabling brands to respond faster, operate more efficiently and unlock stronger performance across quick commerce and marketplaces.”
Ashwin Padmanabhan, COO, WPP Media, South Asia said, “Ecommerce today is no longer linear; it is shaped by multiple signals, fragmented platforms and constant shifts in demand. Our Integrated Commerce Planner, developed in partnership with Kily, brings these moving parts into a more connected system where planning, activation, and measurement are continuously aligned. By embedding AI-led intelligence into everyday decision-making, it enables brands to move from reactive execution to a more predictive, outcome-driven approach to growth."
