Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced the launch of the 2026 variant of the Hilux with an ad film.
This is the ninth version of the Innovative International Multi-purpose Vehicle (IMV) and the second in India.
The film for the car aims to show how the car helps ‘adventure meet innovation’ and is titled ‘That’s Wild’. It opens with a man getting into the car and receiving a text from someone saying, ‘See you in 30’. The man starts his ‘wild’ adventure, which consists of plenty of off-roading, while the film showcases the features and capabilities of the car. He finally reaches his destination, where a woman, also driving a Hilux, has already arrived and pokes fun at him, stating that it took him ‘long enough’. The man says, ‘It’s not over yet,’ as the duo engage in one more race, this time side-by-side.
What we think about it: The film, while predictable for the most part, has a pleasant surprise towards the end, when the man driving the car ends up reaching the destination after the woman he was exchanging messages with.
